OmniDiskSweeper 1.16
OmniDiskSweeper 1.16 is supported on macOS 11 through macOS 26.
- Accessible Sizes — Each file now provides an accessibility title (e.g. “Desktop"), an accessibility value describing its size (e.g. “need permission to fully scan, at least 1.1 terabytes, still calculating"), and an accessibility role describing its type (i.e. “folder”, “file”, or “link").
- Incomplete Size Explanations — When we provide a description of a size (such as in the window title, or the summary at the bottom of the window, or the accessibility value), we now indicate when the size is incomplete because we need permission, rather than just marking the size with a “+” suffix. (OmniDiskSweeper can only access all files available to the current user when granted Full Disk Access in System Settings.)
- Help Shortcut — Choosing Full Disk Access… from the Help menu will open Full Disk Access in System Settings.
- Drive List — Added an Open Folder button to the Drive List so this functionality is more discoverable. You can continue to use the previous mechanisms if you prefer, either choosing Size Folder… from the File menu (Command-O), or dragging a folder onto the app icon.
- Permission Usage Descriptions — Added more permission usage descriptions explaining why the system might prompt for permission to grant OmniDiskSweeper access to the desktop, Documents folder, Downloads folder, music, folders from file provider, network volumes, and removable volumes. Granting Full Disk Access to OmniDiskSweeper will avoid getting separate prompts for each of these (and will also let it size folders that these prompts can’t grant access to).
- Housekeeping — Updated the About panel, and renamed Send Feedback… to Contact Omni in the Help menu.
